About Vayle

Shaun previously held senior executive positions at Thomson Reuters, Nasdaq, and TMX Group, where he led global technology businesses and digital transformation programs. He was also CEO and co-founder of Streamlogics, a leading webcasting and compliance solutions provider acquired by Thomson Reuters.

In his former roles, Shaun experienced firsthand the complexities of managing personal information and maintaining compliance with global privacy regulations. This inspired him to build solutions that simplify information access, data protection and privacy compliance for organizations of all sizes. Shaun is an active writer and speaker on the topic of information and privacy compliance, and has written op-eds for IT World Canada, CPO Magazine, and public sector publications such as the Municipal Monitor.

Shaun is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario. He also holds a CIPM (Privacy Program Management) designation from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

Ameera brings 12 years of diverse industry experience spanning manufacturing, FMCG, and regulatory technology. She holds a Master’s degree from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom, and has built a dynamic career at the intersection of compliance and technology.

Ameera began her professional journey in human resources, working in the manufacturing and FMCG sectors before transitioning into the financial technology industry. She went on to lead sales and business development for a financial crime management solutions firm, partnering with banks and financial institutions across Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.

As Head of Client Engagement at Vayle, Ameera is responsible for managing key accounts and marketing initiatives, including customer success programs and community education campaigns. She is passionate about leveraging technology to drive innovation in compliance, helping organizations enhance transparency, efficiency, and regulatory adherence.

With 27 years of experience as a sworn police officer, including 7 years as FOI Manager for the Hamilton Police and serving as a Director at Large on the Freedom of Information Police Network (FOIPN) Executive, Dana is a seasoned information access and privacy professional in the FOI sector.

Her unique blend of police experience and knowledge allows her to understand the challenges organizations and institutions face when decisions are appealed, making her a go-to resource for assistance. Dana has developed a passion for writing representations during the adjudication stage of the appeal process.

​In addition to her experience in the FOI sector, Dana also served on the FOIPN Executive as a Director at Large. Her expertise and understanding of the difficulties that arise during appeals has made her a person that others would contact for assistance. With her commitment to providing expert guidance, Dana takes pleasure in assisting individuals and organizations with their FOI challenges.

Daniel has over 25 years of experience leading and mentoring security, technical, and programming teams. He has managed complex security and IT projects for clients across various sectors, including legal, healthcare, manufacturing, and professional services. Daniel’s expertise encompasses conducting cybersecurity risk reviews and gap assessments against frameworks such as HIPAA, ISO 27001, and NIST 800-53.

Daniel has successfully led sales, acquisitions, and integrations of multiple technology companies. He is also the architect of numerous award-winning products and services.

​A tech evangelist to anyone who will listen, Daniel regularly speaks on panel discussions and delivers keynote addresses to business leaders and IT executives.

Ethan brings more than a decade of experience helping public sector organizations across Canada adopt technology that improves transparency, efficiency, and compliance. At eScribe, he worked closely with local governments, school boards, and special districts to modernize their meeting management processes—from agenda creation to public access.

Before that, Ethan supported municipal, provincial, and other public sector agencies at Bonfire, helping them streamline procurement through digital RFP and contract management tools. His experience navigating government purchasing processes gives him a deep understanding of the unique challenges public sector teams face.

At Vayle, Ethan works with clients to strengthen their privacy and compliance programs with purpose-built tools designed for the public sector.

Nick Fauset is a Senior Product Manager with experience leading product strategy, development, and delivery across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. He brings a broad background in SaaS product management, customer discovery, roadmap development, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional leadership, with a particular focus on translating complex challenges into clear priorities and practical solutions.

Before joining Vayle, Nick held senior product management and technical leadership roles in the cybersecurity industry, where he led product roadmaps, defined requirements, collaborated closely with engineering and design teams, and worked with internal and external stakeholders to deliver new capabilities. His experience also includes leadership roles within the Government of British Columbia, where he managed data, analytics, business intelligence, and large-scale projects involving diverse stakeholders and complex operational requirements.

Nick combines his product management experience with a strong background in training, enablement, and customer support, giving him a
unique perspective on how technology is adopted and used in real-world environments. He is passionate about understanding customer needs, simplifying complex processes, and building products that deliver measurable value.

Suraj is the Director, Software Development at Vayle, bringing extensive experience in end-to-end product development and delivery. His work spans the full lifecycle of technology, from building features and ensuring system reliability to providing customer support and feedback-driven improvements.

He has worked at both Zoho and Microsoft, most notably at the forefront of the Bing platform team, where he contributed to the design and maintenance of large-scale systems, demonstrating his ability to deliver solutions that are technically robust and built to perform at scale.

At Vayle, Suraj provides guidance on development priorities and works cross-functionally to ensure our products meet the highest standards of reliability, performance, and user value. He is a key contributor to the success of our engineering function and a trusted voice in both product and technology decisions.

Prior to joining Vayle, Suresh held progressive product management roles at Exchange Solutions, eSCRIBE Meeting Management, and Teledyne CARIS. His experience spans requirements discovery, roadmap planning, stakeholder alignment, data platforms, APIs, compliance initiatives, analytics, and AI-enabled process automation.

As Senior Manager, Technical Delivery at Vayle, Suresh supports complex deployments, RFP engagements, custom solution design. He brings more than 12 years of experience delivering data-driven SaaS platforms across public sector, consumer, and B2B environments.

Suresh holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship from the University of New Brunswick, along with degrees in Geomatics Engineering and Computer Science. He is also a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) and holds Project Management Professional (PMP) and Professional Scrum Product Owner(PSPO) designations.
