About the Role 

We are seeking a Technical Support & Deployment Specialist to manage and optimize the deployment and support processes for our platform. This role blends client support and release engineering, requiring a mix of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of FOI and privacy compliance. You will work across diverse customer environments, handling deployments, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the secure and efficient delivery of updates and services.

 

Key Responsibilities 

1. Deployment Management

• Create and manage deployment packages for updates and new releases.

• Apply deployment packages for hosted customers and assist on-premises customers with deployments tailored to their specific environments.

• Troubleshoot deployment issues, including configuration related to unique customer environments.

2. Technical Configuration & Troubleshooting

• Configure and maintain IIS environments, including SSL, website/web application pools, and securing configurations.

• Manage and troubleshoot Microsoft SQL databases, including database creation, updates, and query optimization.

• Proactively address connectivity, configuration, and performance issues to ensure seamless platform operation.

3. Professional Services

• Collaborate with clients to configure workflows and customize platform integrations.

• Ensure client-specific configurations align with operational requirements and security standards.

4. Documentation & QA Validation

• Develop and maintain documentation for updates, deployments, and support workflows.

• Conduct QA validation to ensure client setups meet quality and compliance standards.

5. Security Review & Analysis

• Assess system configurations to address and mitigate security risks.

6. Customer Support

• Provide expert-level support to customers, addressing inquiries and resolving technical challenges.

• Guide customers on best practices for platform use and compliance with FOI regulations.

7. Deployment Validation

• Validate all deployments to ensure configurations are consistent and compliant with client requirements.

Technologies & Skills

Experience with the following is essential for success in this role:

• Microsoft SQL: Proficiency in database management, updates, and scripting.

• IIS (Internet Information Services): Configuration and troubleshooting of web application environments.

• Server Management: General knowledge of server environments and security best practices.

• Automation Tools: Familiarity with scripting and deployment automation for consistent operations.

• Integration Support: Experience configuring and supporting integrations with third-party systems (e.g., SSO, communication services).
