The topic of data privacy management and compliance has taken the world by storm as new regulatory measures are introduced, client expectations increase, and cybersecurity threats surge. Organizations that fail to responsibly manage and protect personal information face potential regulatory fines, civil lawsuits, reputational damage, and client losses. In many cases, business leaders aren’t aware of these risks, and those that are, don’t know where to turn for help.

Role Description:

You are an entrepreneurial and performance-driven sales professional who is looking to make your mark in an early-stage company at the centre of a rapidly growing industry.  This unique role provides the opportunity to report directly to a former startup CEO who sold his last company to a $13B information services firm and led $100M+ businesses for global financial and technology B2B brands.  Though we would prefer that you are based in Toronto, virtual work from anywhere in Canada will be considered in order to find the right fit.

Responsibilities: 

  • Identify, qualify and assess sales opportunities for new potential clients via outbound and inbound marketing-generated leads
  • Build and execute new strategies to identify and engage prospects, helping the company refine our sales approach and methodologies
  • Capture and record feedback on client requirements, objections, and opportunities to help build future use cases within CRM
  • Collaborate with others on the team to share strategies and brainstorm on overcoming obstacles
  • Deliver  reporting and sales funnel management via weekly review meetings

Requirements: 

  • High integrity, with a focus on what is doing what is right for the customer – this is core to our brand promise
  • At least two years of experience in a previous quota-carrying sales role with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • A “hunter” mentality combined with a strong sense of urgency, focused on meeting and exceeding monthly and quarterly sales objectives
  • Extremely curious – interested in learning about client issues, as well as industry and competitor developments
  • Familiarity and genuine  interest in the data privacy compliance industry, along with a willingness to complete relevant certifications (see below)

  • All employees are required to complete Vayle IQ Academy, ensuring our team is well equipped to understand the market, regulatory developments, and client needs
